A bright light in an otherwise dim economy, GreenStar's Oasis continues to perform beyond expectations. Oasis Manager Cilla Cartland cites physical improvements, thoughtful product offerings and, most importantly, great customer service as the reasons why.
GreenStar members voted by a 3-to-1 margin in early 2004 to buy the foundering privately-owned Oasis Natural Foods store located in downtown Ithaca's Dewitt Mall, and GreenStar opened the store as GreenStar Oasis in May 2004. GreenStar at DeWitt Mall (Oasis) is a cozy downtown natural foods market nestled in the historic Dewitt Mall, just blocks from Ithaca’s renowned Commons. Whether you’re looking for a hot meal, a few vitamins, your week’s groceries or just a cup of tea, Oasis has got the goods.

Seasonal beers are still here but won’t last for long. Try some offerings from Ithaca Beer and other regional breweries.
While it’s still winter, March holds a lot of exciting promises, like the first day of spring and the beginning of daylight saving time! Then there’s St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness. So much to celebrate! With that in view, we suggest you try some of the seasonal beers while they’re still here. They could be gone before the snow! Not to be missed is Ithaca Beer Company’s annual release of the ever-popular Ground Break brew. And if you’re in the mood for a good Irish stout, Saranac and Brooklyn Brewery both have their own delicious versions — try both! Please note that we’ve rearranged the bulk snacks section in the front of the store, making it easier than ever for you to find your favorite healthy snacks on the run. (Chocolate-covered pretzels are healthy, right?) We’re always getting ever more savvy to your preferences, so look for sesame and oat sticks in larger sizes!
March signals spring and warmer times. This winter has been something to remember, but now its time has come to an end. Su...
